Honoring our veterans

People braved chilly weather Thursday, Veterans Day, to attend a ceremony at the VFW Veterans Memorial by Havre's Town Square to honor those who served.

The ceremony included the playing of the national anthem, the Veterans Honor Guard performing a 21-shot salute and the playing of taps for veterans who have died in the past year and for all deceased veterans.

Following the ceremony, people moved to the Havre Elks Lodge for presentations by guest speakers and a chili lunch.
