Havre Police Department

A caller in the Seventh Street area reported Thursday at 8:21 a.m. finding a ring.

Marvin Daniel Flying of Havre, 55, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a caller reported Thursday at 8:48 a.m. that had man come by a First Street West construction site again, yelling obscenities.

Darrien R. Denny of Box Elder, 26, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant after a caller on 10th Avenue asked Thursday at 3:25 p.m. for officers to check on a woman who had been standing outside for the past 30 minutes.

Officers investigated a hit and run vehicle crash at Montana State University-Northern at 5:18 p.m. Thursday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summonses or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to six calls Thursday.

Firefighters responded to a 7:43 a.m. Thursday request for standby at Havre City-County Airport for an airplane coming in for a landing, but the pilot was unsure the landing gear had locked into place. The landing gear functioned properly and the crew cleared the scene.

Firefighters also responded to calls Thursday without fires, one at 8:33 p.m. on the 1300 Block of Jefferson Avenue where a multi-family dwelling had an alarm malfunction and the other at 8:55 p.m. on the 100 Block of 12th Avenue West which was a false report of fire.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two cats and two kittens all of unknown gender, five female cats, four male cats, one male 12-week-old kitten, and a female and a male six-month-old kittens.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull, two female mixed-breed dogs, a female and a male 21-week-old Labrador retriever puppies, a female 21-week-old border collie-Australian cattle dog-blue heeler puppy, a male mixed-breed dog, a male Labrador retriever and a male border collie-German shepherd. Also, a male and a female 12-week-old mixed-breed puppies and a female 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy were being held separately.
