Montana Highway Patrol

Multiple calls reported a crash involving a semitractor-trailer and a car at mile marker 105 on U.S. Highway 87 at 3:01 a.m. today. Trooper Matt Erickson said a northbound vehicle crossed the center line hitting a southbound semitractor-trailer head on. Both vehicles, Erickson said, were disabled. The two people in the semi were uninjured, and the driver of the passenger vehicle had minor injuries and was transferred by ambulance to the hospital. No alcohol was involved in the crash, but the driver of the smaller vehicle has experienced medical issues that lead to the crash, Erickson said.

Havre Fire Department Fire Chief Mel Paulson said the person in the smaller vehicle had to be extricated by firefighters and EMTs examined all people involved in the crash, but only transported one to the hospital.
