State and local COVID-19 update, Oct. 21, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 979 new cases, 10,973 active cases, 434 hospitalizations and 2,239 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 169,489 cases.

Blaine County Health Department reported Wednesday evening being notified of 10 new cases, 87 active, 3 active hospitalizations, 1,339 total cases, 25 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Wednesday evening that 26 new cases were reported, 119 active, 13 active hospitalizations, 3,201 total cases, 60 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Wednesday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 5 new cases, 41 active, 2 active hospitalizations, 1,138 total cases. It has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Wednesday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 5 new cases, 27 active, 1 active hospitalizations, 720 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 11 active, 254 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 3 new cases, 14 active, 669 total cases, 8 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
