State and local COVID-19 update, Oct. 19, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,333 new cases, 11,041 active cases, 454 hospitalizations and 2,206 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 167,268 cases.

Blaine County Health Department reported Monday evening being notified of 18 new cases from Saturday through Monday, 73 active, 3 active hospitalizations, 1,316 total cases, 25 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Monday evening that Hill County had two new COVID-19-related deaths and 25 new cases reported from Saturday through Monday, 96 active cases, 14 active hospitalizations, 3,162 total cases, 58 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Monday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill county numbers, reported two new deaths, 3 new cases, 32 active, 3 active hospitalizations, 1,126 total cases. It has had 12 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Monday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips county numbers, 6 new cases from Friday through Monday, 18 active, no active hospitalizations, 710 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new cases, 9 active, 252 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 3 new cases, 13 active, 662 total cases, 8 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
