Hi-Line Volleyball Roundup
District 7C volleyball has reached the halfway point in what has been an exciting season on the Hi-Line.
Last week's action started Tuesday with Big Sandy besting Cascade by scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-20.
Thursday night in the 7C got started with Chinook defeating North Star in a tight match by scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-22 and 25-19. Kira King had 11 kills and a block for North Star, while no stats were reported for the victorious Sugarbeeters.
Thursday night also saw Box Elder get swept by Geraldine-Highwood, by scores of 25-8, 25-9 and 25-5.
There was plenty of action over the weekend, too.
On Friday, North Star won two matches against Hays-Lodge Pole, both were three-game sweeps. Meanwhile, Box Elder fell to Centerville by scores of 25-14, 25-6 and 25-3.
Saturday's action included in that was North Star rebounding to beat rival Chester-Joplin-Inverness by scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-22, 19-25 and 15-8 in a five-set marathon. King had 11 kills, while Choral Wicks had 24 digs for the Knights.
Also Saturday, Chinook lost a tough match to Centerville, by scores of 21-25, 25-12, 25-17 and 25-12. Bree Swanson and Hallie Neibauer each had 11 kills for the Beeters.
Harlem also won an important 2B match Saturday, as the Wildcats beat Wolf Point by scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-17.
