State and local COVID-19 update, Sept. 17, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,209 new cases, 9,545 active cases, 361 hospitalizations and 1,877deaths. The cumulative total for the state as 139,712 cases.

Blaine County was reported on the state update this morning as having no new cases, 44 active, 952 total cases, 24 deaths. The county health department had not released an update by printing deadline this morning.

Hill County Health Department reported Thursday evening that 35 new cases were reported, 175 active, 8 active hospitalizations, 2,597 total cases, 49 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Thursday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 3 new cases, 72 active, 1 active hospitalization, 975 total cases. It has had 8 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Thursday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 3 new cases, 32 active, no active hospitalization, 592 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, was listed as having 7 new cases, 21 active, 183 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, was listed as having no new cases, 24 active, 573 total cases, 7 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
