A caller at a First Street business asked Thursday at 9:48 a.m. to speak with an officer because his father's checkbook may have been stolen while at the business.

John Michael Merrill of Box Elder, 38, was arrested on charges of burglary of a residence, criminal mischief vandalism, theft, attempt to commit a crime, trespass to property and parole violation after officers were asked Thursday at 11:46 a.m. by Adult Probation and Parole to help serve a warrant and transport a man to Hill County Detention Center.

Elizabeth Rose Lara of Havre, 40, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, expired vehicle registration and failure to carry proof of vehicle insurance after a caller at a First Street West business reported a woman passed out in her car at 4:07 p.m. Thursday.

Ordell James Denny of Havre, 24, was issued a summons on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, no vehicle insurance and operating a vehicle with fictitious plates after a vehicle stop on 18th Avenue Thursday at 10:43 p.m.

Cassie Ray Krueger of Havre, 26, was issued a summons on a charge of providing alcohol to an intoxicated person after an officer initiated investigation of suspicious activity outside a First Street establishment at 1 a.m. today.

Tylee Marie Buck of Harlem, 23, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a charge of disorderly conduct after an officer initiated investigation of a woman passed out on Main Street at 2:06 a.m. today.
Hill County Sheriff's Office
Dakota Rose Corrina Greyshock of Havre, 26, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and false reports to law enforcement authorities after a 911 call was made Thursday at 10:32 p.m. from County Road 534 Northwest with loud yelling in the background.

Edwin Vernel Franklin of Havre, 61, was arrested on two state District Court warrants served on River Road at 10:42 p.m. Thursday.

A 14-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of juvenile curfew violation after a Fourth Street caller reported at 12:10 a.m. today that his juvenile daughter had snuck out of the house.

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls today and two early this morning.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held three cats, two 15-week-old kittens, a 6-month-old kitten and three 10-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, two female cats, two male 14-week-old kittens, a female 11-week-old kitten and a female 7-month-old kitten. A male 18-week-old kitten and a male 19-week-old kitten were being held separately but are also available for adoption.

The shelter also held a male catahoula leopard dog, a female 18-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male shepherd dog, a male husky dog, a female 14-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female Yorkshire terrier dog. Also being held separately were a female and a male 7-week-old puppies and a male 7-month-old puppy, all of mixed breed.
