Press release

The Montana Community Foundation announced that Jim Bennett of Havre is the foundation's philanthropy officer.

In this role, Bennett will work with donors and professional advisors to achieve their charitable goals through estate giving and planned giving.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jim to our team," said Mary Rutherford, MCF President and Chief Executive Officer. "Jim brings incredible experience in helping people and their advisors make lasting gifts to benefit Montana. He is the right person to join our team at this time because we've seen an increased demand for our philanthropic services across the state. Having an experienced professional staff member in Havre will enable us to better respond to requests for our assistance."

Bennett has extensive knowledge of relationship management, fund development, and donor stewardship. He was most recently the relationship manager at Northwest Farm Credit Services. Prior to that, he served as the executive director of the Montana State University-Northern Alumni Foundation.

Bennett has a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Montana and a graduate certificate in geographic information systems from North Carolina State University.
