Adam Grammar, CJI Football

The Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks are 2-0 on the season, and Adam Grammar is a big reason why. Friday night, Grammar rushed for 245 yards and four touchdowns as the Hawks blasted Harlem 63-0 in a Northern C 8-man showdown in Harlem. Grammar is a standout for CJI, which is off to a perfect start in conference play.

Haddie Woods, CJI Volleyball

It was a busy week last week for the Chester-Joplin-Inverness volleyball team, as the Hawks went 3-1 over the course of the long second week of the regular season. And CJI’s Haddie Woods was really consistent throughout the week. Woods averaged six kills and three aces for the week, including a match-high eight kills in a Saturday win over Centerville.
