State and local COVID-19 update, Sept. 3, 2021

Hill County reported its 47th COVID-19-related death Thursday. Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, the data from which also is included in either Hill or Chouteau county numbers, also reported a new death.

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 660 new cases, 6,086 active cases, 266 hospitalizations and 1,811 deaths. The cumulative total for the state as 129,487 cases.

Blaine County Health Department reported Thursday evening being notified of 5 new cases, 41 active, 2 active hospitalizations, 967 total cases, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Thursday evening that 18 new cases were reported, 97 active, 5 active hospitalizations, 2,314 total cases, 48 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Thursday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, reported a new COVID-19-related death, 1 new case, 35 active, 1 active hospitalization, 888 total cases. It has had 8 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Thursday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 2 new cases, 24 active, no active hospitalizations, 546 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had 2 new cases, 9 active, 157 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 2 new cases, 11 active, 538 total cases, 7 deaths.

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
