State and local COVID-19 update, Aug. 27, 2021

The Montana state COVID-19 tracking map this morning listed 706 new cases, 4,628 active, 228 hospitalizations and 1,783 deaths. The state’s cumulative total of cases was 125,616.

Blaine County Health Department reported Thursday evening being notified of 10 new cases, 43 active, 1 active hospitalization, 948 total cases, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Thursday evening that 14 new cases were reported, 96 active, 5 active hospitalizations, 2,239 total cases, 47 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Thursday evening, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 5 new cases, 53 active, 45 active on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, 1 active hospitalization, 872 total cases. It has had 7 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Thursday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 3 new cases, 13 active, no active hospitalizations, 534 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County Health Department reported Thursday no new cases, 9 active, 150 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County was listed on the state tracking map this morning with 1 new case, 4 active, 7 deaths, 528 total cases.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org , operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
