Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

You know, Lord, a while back, rummaging through some papers, up popped an interesting article about oils. "Keeley" wrote that she'd recently begun learning about essential oils and how in ancient times God gave His people these healing oils to use for health. Quoting her:

"Aside from enjoying the scents and experiencing their healing power, I've been fascinated to read about the Biblical basis for their use and the documented stories of their success.

"I love history, but when something in the present reminds me that the Holy Hand that held life together thousands of years ago is the very hand of my Savior today - Wow! That's history to build on.

"I am saddened to think of the millions who consider human heritage to be manmade, bubbling up from primordial sludge.

"I've wondered before whether I would have believed as readily in Creation and salvation and eternity if I hadn't been taught it as truth from my early years. Would life and humanity's 'advanced' wisdom have hardened the eyes of my faith? Would believing have been a struggle for me?

"I can't say. But I do trust that Jesus's timing for each person is chosen ideally for them. He knows who will have a heart for Him, and He has been working throughout history for this very hour for everyone on earth now.

"For my part, I can pray that His mighty deeds and miracles will speak His love into the hearts of those who need Him." 

Thank You, Lord, for Psalm 77:11-14: "11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your miracles of long ago.12 I will consider all Your works and meditate on all Your mighty deeds. 13 Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? 14 You are the God who performs miracles; You display your power among the peoples."
