New docs at Blaine County Veterinary Service

Staff and wire report

Blaine County Veterinary Service has announced the addition of two new members to its staff, Dr. Bobbi Knudsen and Dr. Seth Phillips.

One of their favorite things about the veterinary profession is the opportunity to get to know not only many great pets and livestock, but their owners as well, a press release said.

"We both love herd work; give us a call, 406-357-2279," the two said in the release.

Growing up on the family ranch in Malta, Knudsen said she always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She earned her undergraduate degree from Montana State University Billings and is a 2021 graduate of Colorado University of Veterinary Medicine.

Knudsen joined the Blaine County Veterinary Service team in June 2021. During her time away from the clinic, Knudsen said, she enjoys helping on her family's ranch and anything involving any type of sports and exercise. She said she enjoys all aspects of animal medicine.

Phillips grew up in southwest Iowa and often spent summers working on his uncle's ranch in central Nebraska. He attended Northwest Missouri State University where he played football for three years and studied pre-veterinary animal science and went on to the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in June 2021.

Phillips joined Blaine County Veterinary Service team in June 2021.

He said his interests include sale barn veterinary work, cow-calf operations, general horse medicine and minor surgery and bovine surgery. He enjoys all aspects of rural livestock medicine.

In his free time, he said, Phillips enjoys anything outdoors, hunting, golf, anything on the back of a horse, and hanging out with his two dogs, Fred and Ned.
