Obituary - Clarice Jean 'Teeny' (Sargent) Evans

Clarice Jean "Teeny" (Sargent) Evans, age 84, passed away peacefully in the company of her loved ones on the afternoon of August 17, 2021, at Great Falls Clinic Hospital after a well-fought battle to overcome complications from a heart attack and open-heart surgery.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to join them for a celebration of Teeny's life on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Services will be held at Harvest Springs Community Church with a graveside ceremony at Mt. Olivet Cemetery and a reception to follow.

Teeny was born on November 2, 1936, in Whitefish, Montana, to Myra Ellen (Maetche) Sargent and Clarence Daniel Sargent. In 1939, the Sargent family moved to Chinook, Montana, where her family ran the Milk River Mine.

Teeny married Thomas "Tom" Edmond Evans on September 10, 1953, when their greatest adventures began together. Tom served in the military which took their family to many places across the United States and even to Spain.

Her greatest joy and certainly her greatest gift was her devotion and unconditional love for her family. She was kind, generous, hospitable, and spirited. She engraved her love into every heart that ever knew her. She was a very special kind of woman that came from a long line of resilient, persevering, and tenacious people. With a heart for God and born-again Christian values, she and Tom raised a beautiful family; all of whom will carry on her legacy.

Our hearts feel great loss without our fearless and devoted matriarch, but we rejoice knowing that she now walks with Our Lord in a brand-new body free of pain and sickness. She is surrounded by glory, grace, and family who have gone before.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Ellen Sargent; siblings Dick Sargent, Lila Tow, Stanley Sargent, Billie Sargent, Gale Sargent, Vic Sargent, Vickie Jones, Wayne Sargent and Tom Sargent.

Teeny is survived by her husband, Thomas Evans of Great Falls, MT; children, Tracy Evans, Dana Kaye Ellington, Kelley (John) Lind, Kippy (Dean) Schuler, and Thomas (Dawn) Evans; grandchildren, James "J.D." (Adrienne) Ellington, Josh (Carla) Lind, Lacy (Stephen) DeVries, Danny (Nicole) Schuler, Brittany Evans, Tessa (Chris) Blade, Dusty (Jen) Schuler Jerrica (Erik) Seilstad, Riley (Jim) Ricci, Hannah (Cody) Evans, and Thomas "T.R." (Hannah Belle) Evans. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; her beloved siblings Darlene Hills and Jeanette Blatter, and many nieces and nephews whom she adored and they her. They all carry a special place in her heart for eternity.

We all look forward to the day that we are reunited with "Mom," "Grandma," "Aunt Teeny," and "GG."

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Great Falls Clinic Hospital that cared for Teeny over the last few weeks. She was in the best hands possible and your care and comfort during this difficult time will carry on in our hearts.
