Delta-driven surge continues in area

Numbers of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in the area and across the state, leading officials to urge people to get vaccinated.

Hill County Health Department, which reported 14 new cases confirmed from Saturday through Monday, reported another 12 cases Tuesday.

That brings the county total of active cases to 47, with two active hospitalizations.

Blaine County Health Department reported 10 new confirmed cases from Saturday through Tuesday, bringing the number of active cases in that county to 16.

The state COVID-19 tracking map update today reported one new case in Liberty County, bringing its active cases to 13.

The map did not list any new cases for Chouteau County and listed two active cases there.

Statewide, the map listed 436 new cases with 3,067 active cases and 203 active hospitalizations.

The highest numbers listed by county were in Flathead County, 580 cases with 65 new cases, Cascade County with 558 cases including 30 new cases and Yellowstone County at 443 active cases including 58 new cases.

In Hill County, vaccinations are available through Bullhook Community Health Center, 406-395-4305; the Hill County Health Department, 406-400-2415; Northern Montana Health Care’s Specialty Medical Center at 406-265-7831 or it’s family Family Medical Center at 406-265-5408; Western Drug Pharmacy,406-265-9601; Gary & Leo’s Pharmacy, which takes walk-ins, Walmart and the Rocky Boy Health Center, 406-395-1655.

Vaccinations are available in Blaine County through the Blaine County Health Department, 406-357-2345, and Fort Belknap Health Center.

Vaccine is available in Chouteau County at the Chouteau County Health Department, 406-622-3771, and Big Sandy Pharmacy at 406-378-5588.

In Liberty County, Liberty County Health Department, 406-759-5517, is providing vaccinations.
