Two suspects were arrested and taken to Northern Montana Hospital by ambulance after a Monday morning pursuit involving Rocky Boy Police officers and Hill County Sheriff’s deputies.
Rocky Boy Police asked the sheriff’s office at 10:49 a.m. for assistance in a pursuit that left Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation and entered Beaver Creek Park, Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross said. The two people in the vehicle pulled into a cabin site and fled on foot before being caught by law enforcement officers.
Jerome Bigknife of Rocky Boy, born in 1993, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, operating an unregistered vehicle, fleeing from or eluding law enforcement and criminal mischief to property. Ross said, Bigknife also has prior charges including theft, unauthorized control over property, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
The passenger in the vehicle, Nathel Lamere of Great Falls, born in 1980, was arrested on a felony probation and parole warrant for absconding.
After their apprehension, Ross said, is was discovered that the two had taken drugs and were suspected to be overdosing. Law enforcement on scene administered Medical care while Havre Fire Department ambulances were en route to the scene.
Neither suspect was listed in the jail roster this morning.
