Patty was born in Deadwood, South Dakota, on May 26, 1958, with Mount Rushmore looking down on her. Our father called her his "Little Princess," and she was just as beautiful as our mother. She graduated from Shelby High School with a Heisy award, a proud member of the Class of 1977. She then worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for several years, and then was the manager of the Montana Club. Patty moved to Havre almost 20 years ago to be closer to family and then moved to Great Falls a few years ago.
Patty's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile and kind soul brought so much joy to her family and friends.
Our sister and friend was a prankster, and enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. When she smiled, her face and could brighten the darkest days. Patty would always have a joke or funny story to tell. She was also very compassionate, caring a lot for her friends and family, and would do anything to help them. She had the same care for animals and was looking forward to meeting up with her dog Lexy. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Patty were her parents, Ellis James and Shirley Marie (Weimer) Haney, Jr .; and infant brother Stephen Patrick Haney.
Loved ones that will miss Patty until they meet again are her brothers, Bryan Haney and Jim Haney, sister, Theresa Haney, and dear friends Kelly and Katherine.
Our family would like to give special thanks to Park Manor, the Goldstone ALF, Alluvion Healthcare, Sletten Cancer Institute, and most graciously the Peace Hospice House.
