Officers were called to the hospital at 8:11 a.m. Thursday for a patient with a puncture wound to the chest. Police Capt. Aaron Wittmer said the individual told investigating officers she tripped and fell on a stick. Wittmer added that, though this explanation was doubtful, the case is closed without cooperation from the individual.

A Thursday 8:41 a.m. call about a trash receptacle blocking the view of traffic at Fifth Avenue and Main Street was referred to Havre Public Works.

Leona Marie Chiefstick of Box Elder, 54, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a caller at 8:42 p.m. Thursday asked for officers to check on a woman who was laying on the sidewalk on 13th Street.

James Murel Goldsmith Jr., a homeless man, 28, was arrested on charges of trespass to property and criminal mischief vandalism after a caller on Fourth Street reported at 1:10 a.m. today that a man was wandering around the caller's backyard and knocking on the door.
Hill County Sheriff's Office
Dallas Lee Stump of Box Elder, 24, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant, a 16-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of minor in possession and two other arrest were made, without charges provided, during a vehicle stop at 12th Avenue and Third Street at 12:32 a.m. today.

Lana Standing Chief of Havre, 40, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after officers were called today at 3:57 a.m. for a disturbance.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Thursday and two calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a house fire reported on page 1 of today's paper.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held three 5-week-old kittens, one cat, an 8-week-old kitten and one 10-week-old kitten all of unknown gender, seven female cats, three male cats and one female 21-week-old kitten. A male 12-week-old kitten and a male 13-week-old kitten were being held separately.

The shelter also held three female and two male 8-week-old puppies, a female 15-week-old puppy, a male 7-month-old puppy, a male 10-month-old puppy, and a male and a female 11-month-old puppies.
