Havre Police Department

Someone stopped at the police station Monday at 6:17 a.m. and asked to speak with an officer.

Acoya Nathan Gopher of Box Elder, 23, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a First Street business reported at 12:13 p.m. Monday that a shoplifter had left the building and was headed west bound on Second Street.

Someone stopped at the police station Monday at 2:58 p.m. to speak with an officer about a previous call for services.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a complaint made Monday at 12:14 p.m. in the Fresno Reservoir area.

Deputies investigated a theft, forgery or fraud reported at 1:01 p.m. Monday by a caller with Unified Disposal.

Deputies assisted another agency in Hingham at 1:13 a.m. today.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls in the 24-hour reporting period.

Firefighters responded at 5:53 a.m. today to a fire alarm on the 1300 block of Jefferson Avenue. This was an alarm malfunction at the same location as a call early Monday and the company is working to fix the problem.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three 4-week-old kittens, five 12-week-old kittens, two cats, one 6-week-old kitten and one 3-week-old kitten all of unknown gender, four female cats and seven male cats. A 10-week-old kitten and a 11-week-old kitten both of unknown gender were being held separately.

The shelter also held a male 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female pit bull dog, a male St. Bernard dog, a male Corgi dog, a male and a female 11-month-old mixed-breed puppies and a 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy.
