Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument to host Family Explorer Day

FORT BENTON - People looking for some outdoor family fun are invited to join U.S. Bureau of Land Management park rangers during Family Explorer Day at Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument Thursday, July 29.  

Family Explorer Day offers free, two-hour outdoor activity programs, weather permitting, starting at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

Participating families with children of all ages are encouraged to bring active imaginations and be ready for fun as rangers lead short activities and games highlighting the unique plants and animals found within the Monument area.  

People can discover their inner naturalist and inspire their child's interest in the natural world at the events.

Registration is required, so people are encouraged to call the UMRBNM Interpretive Centerat 406-622-4000 to reserve their family's spot.

Program participants will meet at the UMRBNM Interpretive Center at 701 Seventh Street in Fort Benton.

People should dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring refillable water bottles, sunscreen, hats, insect repellent and closed-toed shoes.
