New hours at the Havre-Hill County Library announced

Havre-Hill County Library staff

Over a year ago, the Havre-Hill County Library reopened after being closed due to COVID-19, but something very important was missing. Our Saturday hours.

Starting July 10, the library will once again be open Saturdays, and with even more hours than before. We will now be open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed Sundays.

Yes, we do have tons of books you can check out for free, but don’t forget we also have wi-fi hot spots, laptops, and iPads available for checkout. Did we mention it’s all free? And if there’s a book that we don’t have, don’t despair. We can probably borrow it from another library. And guess what? That’s also free.

If you’d prefer to access materials from the comfort of your own home, check out Montana Library 2 Go! Free audiobooks, e-books and even magazines are right at your fingertips, 24/7. You will need a library card to access this service, but signing up for a library card is also free. If you need help accessing Montana Library 2 Go or setting up your device, give us a call at 265-2123, or email us at [email protected]. Or you can stop by the library Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Your library card can also be used to access our online databases. Chilton Motor Manuals, General OneFile, Biography in Context, InfoTrac Newsstand, Kids Infobits, and Heritage Quest can all be accessed from our website havrehilllibrary.org. You can use the number on the back of your library card to log in. It’s free. If you have any questions or aren’t sure what your library card number is, you can call or email us, or stop by.

And, of course, don’t forget to sign up for our Summer Reading Program. It’s open to all ages, including adults. The more you read, the more raffle tickets you can earn, and the more you can enter for prizes. And the top readers will receive special prizes, including a floating shark raft. You can register at any time, but the last day to record minutes is July 28. And, if you hadn’t guessed it yet, this is also free!
