Montana Actors’ Theatre is inviting people to a KidsMat acting camp next week in Chinook, running Monday through Thursday.
The acting camps are for children ages 5-15, who learn all aspects of theatre production including story and script development, acting, costuming, and technical aspects at the camps.
The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday with a short production Thursday evening.
The cost for the camp is $50 for the first child and $35 for each additional child in the family. Camp fees include a T-shirt and water bottle.
Scholarships are available.

Online registration closes Sunday but people may still be able to register in person if there are open slots.

The MAT website says the acting troupe is committed to providing a safe environment for our participants and audience.
MAT will be following all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local public health guidance concerning masks, social distancing, hand washing and sanitizing, temperature checks, and so on, the website says.
Previous camps were set this year in Havre June 7-10, Shelby June 21-24 and this week in Lewistown, the MAT website reports.
Future camps are scheduled in Shelby July 12-15, Havre July 19-22, Havre August 2-5, and dates are not yet set for camps in Rocky Boy, Box Elder and Hays/Lodge Pole, the website says.
