Great Northern Fair looking for more vendors

Great Northern Fairgrounds Manager Frank English is looking for more vendors for this year’s Great Northern Fair.

English said in years past he’s seen the fairground’s commercial building completely filled with vendors of all kinds, selling everything from arts and crafts to cutlery, which he would like to see again.

“20 years ago you walked around here and it was stuffed,” he said. “Last time there were like five.”

He said he’s had some takers already, but to reach the level the fair was at years ago he’ll need more.

“I’ve got a bunch in there all ready, but I’m trying to fill it up,” English said.

He said prices for vendors has been reduced recently with for-profit vendors only needing to pay $100 for the whole week. Vendors just selling raffle tickets are only required to pay $75 and purely informational booths cost $50.

He said he thinks “it’s a pretty smoking deal.”

English said the fair takes all types of vendors and booths, whether they represent local businesses, home-based businesses, pop-up shops, or colleges promoting their educational opportunities.

He said there will also be bingo for parents to play while their children are in other parts of the fair.

Anyone interested in becoming a vendor can reach English by calling the fairground’s phone number at 406-265-7121 and asking for him.
