Before she official;lay becomes a Yellowjackets, Fort Benton’s Aspen Giese had a little more high school basketball to play.
This past weekend, Giese became the latest Hi-Line prep star to play for the Montana Team in the annual Montana-Wyoming All-Star Series.
Last Friday night, Giese scored 15 points to help the Montana squad beat Wyoming 55-52 in a narrow contest in Sheridan, Wyoming. One night later, the event shifted to Lockwood High School in Billings, where the Montana girls rolled to a 71-39 win. In that game, Giese scored six points for the Montana Team, as they swept Wyoming once again.
Gives recently led Fort Benton to their first-ever Class C state championship in girls basketball, which was also at Lockwood back in March. She was a three-time Class C All-State selectyionb and a four-time District 9C All-Conference performer. Giese was also a stanmdoput in volleyball and track and field for the Longhorns. She signed with Montana State-Billings for hoops last year.
The Montana-Wyoming Series also saw the Montana boys sweep, with a 110-71 win Saturday night in Billings, and a 100-104 victory Friday night in Sheridan.
