Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

You know, Lord, a friend mentioned some interesting dates throughout the whole calendar, but she really liked those in June; the one that gave her a chuckle was the ninth, Donald Duck Day, his first appearance was in 1934. She also loves iced tea and there was a day for that also - the 10th! She thought National Loving Day, the 12th, was really special, too, as well as it was also Peanut Butter Cookie Day.

Flag Day is the 14th, National Fudge Day is the 16th, her daddy really likes the 17th as it is National Eat Your Vegetables Day, which reminded her that the 18th was National Panic Day. We chuckled as she listed a few more days, like the 22nd being National Kissing Day as well as being National Onion Ring Day. She liked the 23rd being National Pink Day as well as National Typewriter Day, since she still has a really old typewriter. She did not like the 28th - National Tapioca Day, her least favorite food!

She said that in every month there are dozens of national "whatever days," we wondered who thought up all those special days? Oh, one more to share, she said, did you know that the 30th is International Asteroid Day - that's when everyone will be looking toward the skies as there are over a million asteroids in space - maybe. Some of these might be problems, but the bigger the problem, the more fabulously Your solution shines, Lord.

After we giggled and checked out more dates, we thank You, Lord for Your loving care for us, so how about we: "Stand up and praise the Lord your God who is from everlasting to everlasting," Nehemiah 9:5. Your love encompasses us, National Fun Days or every day. Thank You for loving us, and that someone uncovered some exciting days to check out.
