After a week of dry weather and high temperatures - Havre hit the high 80s and 90s at the National Weather Service recording station at the Havre City-County Airport most of last week - Weather Service now has a severe storm warning in effect for the region today with a predicted high in Havre of 76 degrees and a chance of rain and severe thunderstorms in effect today through Thursday night. Today's severe weather outlook, in a region including northern Liberty County and marginal risk in Chouteau and Hill counties and western Blaine County, with slight risk in eastern Blaine County, warns that the main threat is damaging winds, large hail and frequent lightning.
