Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Friday, five calls Saturday and five calls Sunday.

Firefighters responded to an 11:53 a.m. Friday report of a gas leak on the 1200 Block of Boulevard Avenue, but no leak was detected.

Firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from an electric sign on the 1700 Block of U.S. Highway 2 Northeast Saturday at 4:43 a.m. The power was shut off to the sign and the fire put out with extinguishers.

A grass fire was reported Saturday at 12:16 p.m., started by a downed power line on the 500 block of Fifth Street North. The small fire was out by the time firefighters arrived and the stood by until NorthWestern Energy crews arrived.

Firefighters responded to a Saturday 7:01 p.m. report of a gas odor on the 900 Block of Ninth Avenue, but no gas was detected. A NorthWestern Energy crew continued testing at the scene.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held two 9-week-old kittens of unknown gender, six female cats and three male cats.

The shelter also held a male St. Bernard-mix dog, a female mixed-breed dog, and a male and a female 9-month-old mixed-breed puppies.
