Havre Police Department

A 17-year-old was arrested on charges of assault by coercion, intimidation or threat and disorderly conduct after a caller at Havre High School reported a disturbance at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

An arrest was made after a caller at the baseball park on 11th Avenue made a complaint Thursday at 9:34 p.m. No details on the charges was provided.

Donald Joseph Smith of Rudyard, 60, was arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault after a Thursday 9:43 p.m. caller on Fourth Street reported a domestic disturbance.

James Murel Goldsmith Jr. of Harlem, 28, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a caller reported a man ringing the door bell on the back deck of a Rich Street West residence Thursday at 10:57 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summonses or investigations in the the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Thursday.

Firefighters responded to a report of a grass fire on the 6000 Block of County Road 462 at 2:09 p.m. Thursday. This was a small fire that started from a smoldering hot spot in a permitted burn from two days prior.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 4-week-old kittens of unknown gender, four male cats and five female cats.

The shelter also held a male Dachshund dog, two female and one male mixed-breed dogs, a male St. Bernard-mix dog, a female collie dog, a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 17-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female Staffordshire bull terrier dog.

Births

A girl was born Monday, May 3, 2021, to Alicia and Michael Keever of Havre.
