Montana Actors’ Theatre is holding Thursday a community workshop on Shakespearean language and an overview of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
That is followed Saturday with auditions for that play, although workshop attendance is not required to audition.
A release from MAT’ page says the play will be produced in conjunction with the acting troupe’s Spring into the Past fair in June.
The release asks if people are interested in auditioning but aren’t sure what to expect, if they want to learn more about the audition process and if they want to learn a little more about Shakespeare.
“We’ve got just the thing for you,” the release says.
The workshop starts at 6 p.m. in the former Creative Leisure location at 417 First St.
A release about “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” auditions, starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, also in the former Creative Leisure location, says several roles are available for youth and adult actors, adding that no experience is necessary.
