Emergency personnel responded to eight calls Friday, five Saturday, three Sunday and one early this morning.

Firefighters and an ambulance crew responded to a Friday 12:04 p.m. fire call on the 300 Block of First Street West. The smoke smell was determined to be coming from an air conditioning unit, which was then shut down, and the manager was called.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held two 4-week-old kittens of unknown gender, four male cats and four female cats.

The shelter also held a male Dachshund dog, two female and one male mixed-breed dogs, a male St. Bernard-mix dog, a female collie dog, a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 17-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a female 11-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female Staffordshire bull terrier dog.
