Avery Carlson, Havre Softball

It’s been a great start to the 2021 season for the Havre High softball team, and sophomore Avery Carlson has been a big reason why. Last Friday, Carlson had a game-winning hit for the Ponies in a narrow victory over Hardin in Havre, and Tuesday, she added a victory in the circle, as well as a 2-for-4 performance at the plate against Glasgow. Carlson was also an All-Conference starter for the state champion Pony girls basketball team this winter.

Carson Lunak, Northstars Baseball

Havre senior Carson Lunak is in full baseball mode for the Havre Northstars. In five Havre wins so far this season, Lunak has already won a start on the mound, while racking up nine hits at the plate. Last Sunday against the Great Falls Chargers, Lunak went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and 3-for-5 overall on the day as Havre swept the Chargers. Lunak is also a football standout at HHS and is headed to Dickinson State in the fall.
