Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a sexual or violent offender registry violation reported Tuesday at 9:58 a.m. at the police station.

Michael Jim Gardipee of Box Elder, 35, was arrested on charges of criminal mischief vandalism and disorderly conduct and on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller on 10th Street West reported at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday that an intoxicated man was chasing kids.

John Eric Stiffarm of Havre, 37, was arrested on three state District Court warrants and three Justice or City court warrants and a charge of driving without a driver's license after a Tuesday 4:04 p.m. vehicle stop on 10th Street West.

Officers investigated a 7:26 p.m. Tuesday report from the hospital that two boys had been bitten by a dog.

A Second Street caller asked Tuesday at 7:46 p.m. to speak with an officer as soon as possible.

A 16-year-old was issued a summons on charges of minor in possession and juvenile curfew violation after a caller on 10th Street West reported a teenaged girl sleeping on the stairs at 2:19 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a 9:08 a.m. Tuesday report from a Main Street East caller in Box Elder of vandalism.

Christopher Alan Anderson of Havre, 38, was arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault after a 9:36 p.m. Tuesday caller reported a domestic disturbance on St. Joe Road and said that an ambulance might be needed. Deputies reported at 10:13 p.m. they were on scene and an ambulance was dispatched for a possibly broken foot.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Tuesday and one call early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a 5:16 p.m. Tuesday fire alarm on the 800 Block of Fourth Street. Burnt food from cooking set off the alarm. The fire crew reset the alarm panel and cleared the scene.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 3-week-old kittens of unknown gender, four male cats, two female 12-week-old kittens and four female cats.

The shelter also held two female and one male 10-week-old mixed-breed puppies, two female and one male mixed-breed dogs, a male St. Bernard-mix dog, a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 16-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female Staffordshire bull terrier dog.
