District 4 Human Resources Development Council is hosting two sessions to help people learn how to make smart choices while renting a residence.
The Rent Well and Financial Education Course will be held Saturday, May 1, and Saturday, May 8, at HRDC, 2229 5th Ave. in Havre.
Lunch will be provided at the free sessions, which run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The sessions are intended to help people become familiar with the renting process. The sessions are limited to 12 people, and the first 12 to sign up and attend both sessions will receive a free cleaning kit and vacuum.
Topics to be covered include tenant and landlord responsibilities; searching for a unit; filling out rental applications and how people can make their money work for them, how to manage and save.

The sessions are funded through a Walmart Community Grant and Montana Financial Education Coalition.
