Havre Police Department

A Third Street caller reported Monday at 1:23 p.m. that a garage door had been spray painted.

Officers investigated after a First Street West business caller reported at 5 p.m. Monday having a shoplifter in custody.

--

An arrest was made on a warrant Monday at 5:53 p.m. at Carpenter Park on Fourth Street.

--

Tanner Joseph Walker of Hays, 38, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief vandalism after a caller at 14th Avenue and Second Street reported at 3:02 a.m. a man yelling down the street.

Hill County Sheriff's Office 

A theft involving the Hill County Road Department's gravel pit was reported Monday at 9:04 a.m.

Deputies were asked Monday at 6:30 p.m. to assist officers in a pursuit that ended at U.S. Highway 2 West and U.S. Highway 87.

A U.S. Highway 87 caller reported a vehicle theft Monday at 10:59 p.m.

Havre Fire Department 

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Monday, including one with a fire crew at a rollover crash, see article on Page 1.

Firefighters responded to a 6:41 a.m. report of a gas smell outside on the 400 Block of 10th Avenue. No gas leak could be detected.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four cats of unknown gender, three male cats and six female cats.

The shelter also held a female 14-week-old pit bull terrier puppy, a female and a male 13-week-old mixed breed puppies, a female 6-month-old Chihuahua/corgi puppy, a male St. Bernard dog, one female and one male mixed-breed dogs, a female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a male 13-week-old mixed-breed puppy. Another nine 11-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately
