The Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Havre Middle School to interview candidates for Havre superintendent of schools and possibly offer the position to one of the candidates.
The agenda for the meeting is:
A. Call to order
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Roll call
3. Welcome to visitors
4. Agenda deletions or corrections, and additions allowed by policy, if any
B. New business
1. 5:45 p.m. — Board interview: Finalist Brett Zanto
2. 7 p.m. — Board interview: Finalist Craig Mueller
3. Reference check reports — Possible executive session: The Board of Trustees may convene in executive session if the board chair determines the discussion relates to a matter of individual privacy that clearly exceeds the merits of public disclosure in accordance with Section 2-3-203(3), MCA. Action only if needed
4. Public comment: Staff, parent, student, and community perspectives based on remote sessions with finalists and observations of interviews
5. Review of submitted written perspectives
6. Board of Trustees deliberations
7. Consider offering superintendent position to one of the finalists; development of terms of contract offer and authorization to negotiate contract
Public Comment — An opportunity for any member of the audience to bring to the attention of the board questions or relevant comments concerning district matters not on the agenda. The board will not discuss or take action on items not on the agenda, but may refer a matter presented to a future agenda.
