The Foundation has scholarship opportunities available for 2021 Havre High School graduates and some applications are also offered to Hill County High Schools, North Star High School and continuing education students.
One online scholarship application form is used to apply for any and all of the scholarships. The application form can be found on the Foundation website at http://www.hpseducationfoundation.com .
Some applications require specific criteria along with the general information form, be sure to read each description and include requested additional information for the best chance to be selected to receive a scholarship. Recipients are selected by the scholarship donor or the HHS Scholarship Committee. If there are any questions, an applicant may contact the Foundation via email at [email protected], by phone at 395-8550, or contact HHS Counselors.
Deadline for applications is midnight, April 1.
“The foundation is delighted these generous donors have chosen HPSEF with the honor of awarding their scholarships,” a release said. “This year we are pleased to be offering the following scholarships: The Ron Kologi and Doug Hyke Memorial, Blewett Wrestling and Blewett All-State Wrestling, Gene Gabriel Memorial, HPSEF Memorial, Alfred and Catherine Bradbury Memorial, Hal Gilmore Memorial, Havre High School Class of 1970, Bart Nolan Memorial, Howard and Sally Miller Memorial, Friends of Music, Dr. James and Kay Elliott Memorial, PEO Chapter AZ, C. Lowell and Vivian D. Purdy Memorial, PEO Chapter V, Natalie Patrick Memorial, Sue Swan Community Service, Wells Lamey Blue Pony Pride, Thomas Lafond State Farm Up and Coming Entrepreneurial, Wayne Thurston Memorial, and Tillie Patterson Foundation Memorial, The Humanitarian Scholarship by Jeff Dibblee, The Dennis and Gladys Bymaster Scholarship, The Dr. David and Gloria Almas Scholarship, The Terry and Kathy Sather Scholarship. The foundation is expecting several applications.”
The awards will be presented at a ceremony being held late-May 2021.
The Havre Public Schools Education Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to encourage and support excellence in education by raising, accumulating and disbursing funds to improve, enhance and support the educational opportunities for the students of Havre Public Schools.
The directors that currently over-see Foundation activities are Kyle Leeds, president, Todd Hanson, treasurer, Joseph Todd, secretary, Bob Nieuwenhuyse, Grant Olson, Brian Lilletvedt and Jim Donovan.
Superintendent Craig Mueller and Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees Chair Aileen Couch serve as ex-officio directors and Amanda Meyer is the executive director.
