Havre Elks schedule annual memorial service

Havre Elks Lodge # 1201 will conduct its annual memorial service Sunday, March 21, at 3 p.m. in the Lodge Room located at 321 Second St.

Lodge Exalted Ruler Matt Kretchmer said the annual service honors the memory of Elks members who have passed away during the past year as well as remembering those Elk members who have gone on before.

Program Chairman Bob Nieuwenhuyse said that this years’ Memorial Service speaker will be Jeremiah Nitz, elder at Fifth Avenue Christian Church. Havre Elks Lodge officers will perform the Memorial Ritual and Special Music will be provided by Sharon Dolph. Following the service, there will be a time of fellowship and refreshments.

Lodge Secretary Brandalyn Kurtz said the following deceased members will be honored: Robert Darrah, Dale Raunig, Charles “Speck” Helmbrecht and Mike Tilleman in addition to all those Havre Elks Lodge Members who are listed on the Lodge’s Tablets of Love and Memory.

All Elks members, families and the public are invited and encouraged to attend.
