MSU-N's McCadney, Harris earn Frontier accolades

Following the conclusion of the 2020-21 Frontier Conference men's basketball season, which saw the University of Providence beat Carroll College for the championship Tuesday night, the league released its men's postseason awards.

And three Montana State University-Northern Lights were honored.

Northern senior Mascio McCadney averaged 18 points per game and was one of the top 3-point shooters in the league on his way to First-Team All-Conference honors. McCadney is now also a three-time All-Conference selection, and he also reached Northern's historic 1,000-point club this season.

MSU-N senior David Harris also earned All-Conference honors. Harris was named Second-Team All-Conference after averaging more than 15 points and six rebounds per outing for the Lights.

T.J. Reynolds, a sophomore for the Lights, was named Northern's Frontier Champions of Character award winner for the season.

As for the league's postseason honors, UP's Zaccheus Darko-Kelly was named Frontier Player of the Year for the second straight season, while Argo head coach Steve Keller earned the Coach of the Year nod.

Providence junior guard Marcus Stephens was selected as Newcomer of the Year. Sophomore Ifeanyi Okeke of Carroll College and junior Davien Harris-Williams of Providence were selected Co-Sixth-Man of the Year. Carroll College junior guard Shamrock Campbell was selected Defensive Player of the Year. Montana Western's Michael Haverfield and Montana Tech's Bridger Larson were selected Co-Freshmen of the Year.
