Taco John’s will support Plant a Seed … READ! with its Crunch for a Cause.
When people mention Plant a Seed … READ! when making a purchase in the drive through lane at Taco John’s from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, the nonprofit will receive 50 percent of the profits to kick-start its campaign year for 2021.
The fundraiser is in the drive through only.
“We at Plant a Seed…READ, appreciate Taco John’s for their support in this yearly Crunch for a Cause as we make the awareness of the importance of reading aloud to young children from birth to age 5,” executive program director Lorraine Verploegen said. “Through community donations, business partnerships, grants and foundations, we are able to enroll children in the Imagination Library, provide other literacy activities and information to families in Hill County.”
For more information on Plant a Seed … READ and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, people can contact Verploegen at 400-2529 or email [email protected]. People can stop by the program at Holiday Village Suite 31, down by the inside entrance of the former North 40 store. Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
