Commission approves amendment for more vaccine funding

The Hill County Commission approved an amendment to Hill County Public Health Director and Health Officer Kim Larson’s Immunization Program Task Order with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, which will allow the Hill County Health Department to receive another $7,129 to fund vaccination efforts in the area.

The amendment was approved unanimously and Hill County Commissioner Diane McLean said a resolution will be drafted in the near future to enable receipt of the funds.

Larson said DPHHS has informed her that this is the first of multiple rounds of funding that will come from the state and this will not be the last amendment of its kind.

The commission also unanimously approved a new maintenance contract with KONE Corp. for the Hill County Courthouse elevator.

McLean said the contract was on hold until the elevator itself was operational again.

Dues to the Highway 2 Association were also approved at the meeting.

The commission also announced the appointment of Michelle Burchard to the Great Northern Fair Board, replacing Tyler Smith, who recently announced that he would not seek another term.

Commissioners also announced the reappointment of Judi Gomke her position on the Tax Appeals Board, as well as the appointment of Russ Twedt to the Hill County Mount Royal TV Board.
