Yelena Miller, Havre Girls Basketball

The Havre High girls won two big road games and, in large part, thanks to the big time play of sophomore Yelena Miller. In wins over Miles City and Hardin, Miller scored a combined 37 points, while pulling down 17 rebounds, as Havre continued its winning ways, Miller scored a weekend high of 21 points in the win over Miles City and had a double-double against Hardin. Miller is also a standout in volleyball for the ponies, who is now averaging 14 points per game.

Ciaran Courtnage, Havre Ice Hawks

The Havre Ice Hawks swept the Miles City Generals last weekend on the road, and forward Ciaran Courtnage was a key piece to the success. In two Havre wins, Courtnage scored two goals and had three assists, including both goals coming in a close Sunday win over the Generals. Courtnage, who also plays football at Havre High, now has a total of 10 points for the Ice Hawks, who play at home this weekend against Helena.
