Montana Association of Clerk and Recorders offer scholarships

Press release

The Montana Association of Clerk and Recorders is again sponsoring two scholarships for a graduating senior who will be attending an in-state college or university.

The first-place scholarship is for $1,000 and the second-place scholarship is for $500.

The last day of acceptance of applications is March 12.

Application forms are available from the guidance counselor at the high school or from the Hill County Clerk and Recorder, Susan Armstrong, at 315 Fourth St., Havre MT 59501.

People who have any questions can call the direct line at 400-2323.

The application forms must be received by clerk and recorder, no later than Friday, March 12, and will be judged on the basis of need, scholarship, and school and civic involvement.

Final judging will be completed by May 1 to select the statewide winner and alternate. A certificate will be issued to the winner of the scholarships on awards day at the student’s school. The payment will be made directly to the college or university of choice after the student’s acceptance.
