Tax preparation information

We do not know what is happening with AARP tax preparation at this point in time. We are creating a list with your name and phone number to contact so the AARP tax crew can call and set up appoints when they are allowed to see people. As soon as things open up and appointments can be made, you will be called if your name is on the list. Answer your phone … If it’s a scammer just hang up on them.

The senior center is providing medical transportation only. Jan. 25-29 the rides will be very limited as we are short-staffed and need to work around the meal delivery schedule for Meals on Wheels. Remember to call ahead for Friday’s appointments.

You may get a card in the mail with your COVID-19 Relief funds on it. If you have any questions, feel free to call 406-265-5464 or go to the Economic Impact Payment Card website http://www.eipcard.com. People can also reach this site through the Social Security website.

The senior center’s doors are still closed to the public. We are providing limited services by phone with individuals bringing their paperwork down to the center. Help is being given over the phone when possible.

With the isolation, challenges are being felt by some people. Contact a senior or a veteran that may be facing challenges just to see how they are doing. The personal contact will help them feel a great deal better.

Congregate folks: We are still continuing to provide meals at the Hill County senior center as grab-and-go meals while we are still closed. If you would like to pick up a meal, please be sure to call the center before 10 a.m. to order your meal through the kitchen. Your meals may be picked up at the center from 11:45 until 12:15 M-F. If you would like to, you may order a meal for one day or put in your order for the entire week. If you would please let us know which meals you would be like ahead of time, it would be beneficial in preparation so we are aware of how much food to fix each day.

With the individuals we’ve lost the last few weeks, I do have some openings for commodities for the Hill County area. Call 265-5464 for an application.
