Local officials have released the name of a Havre woman who died in a crash east of Havre Monday afternoon.
Loretta Park, 73, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The other driver was injured in the crash.
The two-vehicle crash took place on U.S. Highway 2 at mile marker 387 around 12:20 p.m. Monday, Montana Highway Patrol reports.
Alcohol, drugs, and speed are not suspected in this incident, Montana Highway Patrol said.
Park, was wearing her seatbelt but was found dead on arrival after her Honda Accord collided head-on with a Dodge Dakota driving in the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 2 when the other driver attempted to pass a semi trailer.
The Accord came to rest in the ditch of the westbound lane, and the Dodge Dakota came to rest in the eastbound lane facing south.
The other driver, a 29-year-old woman from Havre, was not wearing a seatbelt and was injured. She was sent to Benefis Health System, Highway Patrol reports.
