Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Kale VanCampen, Havre High Wrestling

The Havre Blue Ponies had been waiting a long time to hit the wrestling mat, and sophomore Kale VanCampen wasted little time in taking advantage of the opportunity. VanCampen won two matches in Miles City last Saturday, one by pin and another by technical fall for the Ponies, who opened the season with a dual and a slew of exhibitions against the Cowboys. VanCampen, who also plays football for HHS, competes at 160 pounds.

Shyan Krass, Turner Basketball

The Turner girls are off to a 1-0 start to the delayed high school basketball season, and Shyan Krass was a big reason shy. In Turner's win over Hays-Lodge Pole last Saturday night, Krass had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Already a three-time All-Conference performer, Krass has been playing for the Tornadoes since eighth grade. Krass has also been a standout in track and field, as well as volleyball during her high school athletic career.
