North Star Elementary remote today

The North Star School District announced Wednesday that North Star Elementary School in Gildford will be using remote learning today.

The closure does not affect the high school and middle school in Rudyard, a release from the district said.

A COVID-19 case was reported that will require the quarantine of students and staff, the release said.

The district said it is making today a remote day to allow for contact tracing, cleaning and to plan for staffing for next week. The district said it plans to resume in-person schooling for most students Monday.
