The Havre Public Schools Education Foundation has announced that it has hired Amanda Meyer as its new executive director.
"I look forward to serving Havre Public Schools and the community through my role as the executive director of the Havre Public Schools Education Foundation," Meyer said.
She was born in Plano, Illinois, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business management from Northern Illinois University.
Meyer comes to the Havre Public Schools Education Foundation from the Montana State University-Northern Alumni Foundation, where she has spent the past five years as the chief financial officer.
She is married to Joshua, a professor of automotive technology at Northern, and said they enjoy hiking in the summer and curling in the winter.
"We are excited that Amanda has accepted the position of Havre Public Schools Education Foundation executive director," board Chair Kyle Leeds said. "Our board is thrilled that we were able to find a qualified executive director here in Havre with stellar local, state, and national connections who will propel our foundation to the next level in 2021."
The Havre Public Schools Education Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2020.
"We are pleased to have the following community members serve on our board and following the vision that Dr. Kirk Miller and the original board started in the year 2000," Leeds said.
Along with Leeds as the board chair, Angela Twombly is the current board vice chair and Todd Hanson is the current treasurer. Other board members include Bob Nieuwenhuyse, Joseph Todd, Grant Olson and Brian Lilletvedt.
Havre Public Schools Interim Superintendent Craig Mueller and Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees Chair Aileen Couch serve as ex-officio members on the board.
