Blue Pony Kellen Detrick named to the Shrine Game

It's been a big year for Havre High senior Kellen Detrick, and it got even bigger Christmas Day.

As always, the Montana East-West Shrine Game announced its roster for the upcoming game on Christmas Day, and when the 2021 East Roster was announced Friday, Detrick made the list.

Detrick, who recently signed to play college football for the University of Montana, was Class A All-State at both defensive end and tight end this past season. He was selected to the Shrine Game as a defensive end.

His fellow teammate Carson Lunak was named as an alternate for the East Team.

Fort Benton standouts Jace Thompson (OLB) and Billy Ullery (CB) were also named to the East, while Big Sandy's Kade Strutz was picked as an alternate. The East will be coached by Red Lodge's John Fitzgerald, while Missoula Sentinel's Dane Oliver will head the West.

The 2021 East-West Shrine Game will be held June 19 in Billings. The 2020 game was canceled due to COVID-19. All players who were selected for that game will be honored in Billings.
