National signing day is Wednesday, and just two days in advance, a second Havre Blue Pony made a college football announcement.
Blue Pony senior Carson Lunak announced via his Twitter account Monday that he has committed to Dickinson State University to play for the Blue Hawks and head coach Pete Stanton.
Lunak, who started on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Ponies and head coach Ryan Gatch, earned Eastern A All-Conference honors at both positions this past season. Lunak was a four-year letter-winner for the Ponies, and a three-year starter, as well as a captain this past season. He's joining a Dickinson State program that just went 9-0 this past fall, as the Northstar Athletic Association was one of the few NAIA conferences to play a fall schedule. DSU won the league title and will play in this spring's NAIA playoffs.
Lunak is the second Blue Pony from the Class of 2021 to commit to a college football program, joining fellow d-lineman Kellen Detrick, who will sign an NCAA letter of intent Wednesday to play for the Montana Grizzlies.
